Christopher Nolan’s Upcoming Movie Oppenheimer is based on the father of the atomic bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer
Legendary director Christopher Nolan brought one of the most anticipated films based on the invention of a nuclear bomb, with Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer who is responsible for the world’s first ever atom bomb, and a theoretical physicist who is among those credited with being the “father of the atomic bomb” for his role in the Manhattan Project—the World War II undertaking that developed the first nuclear weapons.
Batman’s director Christopher Nolan wrote the script for Oppenheimer and is directing, and his wife, Emma Thomas, is producing with Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment. The cast of Oppenheimer is extraordinarily full of veteran actors starting with Cillian, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz, Michael Angarano and Kenneth Branagh.
The Oppenheimer teaser includes shots of massive explosions, the all-consuming energy of the sun and ominous messages about a man’s greed and pride. The clock ticks and Cillian Murphy puts on a hat with style and power and sets out to change the world.
