Brahmastra Movie Releasing this Friday starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy
The much-awaited sci-fi superhero movie released this Friday got mixed reviews from fans as well as from critics.
Brahmastra is a sci-fi film based on Hindu Mythology a popular god weapon Brahmastra is known as a weapon of mass destruction with the immense power of god. Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) protector of this god’s weapon. Brahmastra is a mega-budget film with a powerful star cast along with a big banner name involved in this magnum opus project. The film is the first installment of a planned trilogy, which is itself planned to be part of an extended cinematic universe titled Astraverse.

As far we talk about the cast of Brahmastra leading with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni all are big stars with immense popularity in Indian cinema. The movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji whose earlier hits films like Wake up Sid, Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani has a box office hit.
The movie was made with a whooping budget of Rs.410 crore one of the most expensive ever produced in Bollywood. But Reviews of Brahmastra did not come in a positive way many big critics like Taran Adarsh called the movie High on VFX, Low on Content. But the first-day collection will tell a different story first-day box office collection of Brahmastra is around Rs.75 crore, Audience book tickets and goes to watch the films by not taking critics’ reviews seriously or not misleading with boycott trends.
Talk about the Movie
Brahmastra is such a movie that is good in many aspects like VFX, CGI, Actors selection, performance, and background music (BGM), which can be watched one time if you’re the cinema lovers who want to explore the cinematic experience in 3D, then you should watch because this type of CGI is rare in Indian cinema and thanks for makers who go beyond normal CGI, VFX.
But when you talk about other aspects of films which is the backbone of any movie is the story, which connects the audience from the starting till the end of the movie, the story or soul of the movie is missing, Director has access to massive infra to create an epic movie but failed to utilize the resources like beautiful mythology concept, big actors, massive budget, as a result, finished products do not qualify or compete with audience expectation or unable to compete with a south movie like RRR, KGF-2.
The poor dialogue writing by Hussain Dalal of Brahmastra Part one is one such reason that failed to connect the audience in the movie not one dialogue is memorable after you come out of the theatre.
Too much love shown in sci-fi, and action movies chemistry between Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor is amazing but it is not concerned with the story so why give so much screen space to them?
A special cameo of Shahrukh Khan and Nagarjuna is worth watching.
The song and Music of the movie are excellent and give a feeling of a Love story.
Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva was released on 9 September 2022, in standard formats, 3D, IMAX 3D, and 4DX 3D. The film was released by Star Studios in India in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages on over 8000 screens.
IMDB Rating of Brahmastra: 4.9
CB Rating: 2.5/5 Stars
